Join Meggie & Chiara under the full moon for a nourishing session to celebrate the high point of this lunar cycle.
Practicing during a full moon represents a special time to gather with community, release energies no longer needed, and honor what we have created since the new moon. Aligning your energy with this lunar phase provides a chance to release, refresh, and rejuvenate. Make time to move gently, take full-body breaths, and soak up beautiful sounds. All to balance the nervous system and foster deep reconnection.
Releasing movements: Allow yourself to arrive, slow down and tap into your physical body. Focus on the internal experience of the movement. Mindfully flow through the asanas in this wonderful mellow sequence that includes some tapping and gentle shaking. Bring stuck energy back into flow.
Breathwork: First we will release any lingering pent up stress with 5 min of bellows or bhastrika breath. This involves shorter, sharp inhalations and exhalations, mimicking the action of a bellows. Then we will dive into our Diaphragmatic Circular Breathing practice which involves engaging the diaphragm and maintaining a continuous, circular flow of breath. You will be guided for the first 15 minutes then left to continue in your own rhythm for 25 minutes; however there will be regular gentle reminders through the entire breathwork session to come back to the practice when your mind naturally wanders. It’s a simple yet profound technique.
Sound Bath: A Sound Bath is a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to nurture your mind and body. Lay down, listen & relax. Chiara’s set of instruments currently consists of 7 crystal bowls, 3 ching bowls, 3 Peter Hess bowls, 1 crystal chime, 5 wind chimes for the 5 elements, 1 Kenari seed chime, 1 rain maker, and 1 tongue drum.
What to expect? First we move gently to prepare the body for breathwork, then we breathe intentionally for an extended session, take a moment to reflect and wiggle a bit more before melting into a rich sound bath of soothing bowls, chimes & co. to finish our afternoon. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon? The beautiful Sagayoga studio in Punavuori will welcome you with a ready set-up so you can directly step onto the mat and into the afternoon’s moving, breathing & sonic journey. High quality yoga mats with ALL the luscious cozy props – soft blankets, pillows, bolsters, eye pillows, sandbags, blocks, & straps will be there for you to enhance your experience. Water and tea are available throughout the entire event to keep us all well hydrated plus a little homemade treat for you to enjoy at the close of our time together.

For who? Suitable for almost everyone, perhaps best to sit this one out if pregnant as there will be petite holdings of the breath at outset and close of the breathing session.
